One-Piece Opulent Quartz for a New Birch Bay Kitchen

The oversized island was fabricated from one continuous slab. Delivery and installation required careful access planning, handling, support and final positioning without introducing a seam through the main surface.

The completed kitchen has one uninterrupted island surface, coordinated perimeter countertops and a fitted full-height slab backsplash. The light quartz keeps the large installation visually clean while the subtle veining adds movement across the room.

Project Questions

Birch Bay Quartz Kitchen FAQs

Which countertop material was used in this Birch Bay kitchen?

The kitchen uses Opulent™ StratusQuartz, a polished 3 cm quartz with a luminous white base and soft light-gray movement. It was installed on the island, perimeter countertops and matching full-height slab backsplash.

Was the oversized Birch Bay island made without a center seam?

Yes. The island was planned and fabricated as one continuous quartz surface. Final feasibility for any one-piece island depends on slab size, finished dimensions, support and safe delivery access.

What work did Pacific Granite complete for this project?

Pacific Granite completed field measurements, digital templating, custom fabrication, sink and cooktop cutouts, delivery, installation and the fitted full-height slab backsplash.

How long did the Birch Bay countertop work take?

The countertop scope took about 2–3 weeks from the coordinated measurement and fabrication stages through installation. Timing for a new project depends on material availability, approved details and site readiness.

Does Pacific Granite install quartz countertops throughout Birch Bay?

Yes. Pacific Granite serves Birch Bay and surrounding Whatcom County communities from the Bellingham showroom, with on-site templating, in-house fabrication, coordinated delivery and professional installation.
